SJV Music Teacher Receives Honors

St. John Vianney School music teacher Mr. (Jared) Ziegler was recently selected to receive the Civic Music Association’s Certificate of Excellence in General Music Instruction. He will be honored at their annual awards ceremony at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. The ceremony will be held at the Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 790 North Van Buren Street. After being presented with his award, Mr. Ziegler will have the opportunity to address the audience.

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will also honor Mr. Ziegler at their Salute to Educator’s Night concert on Saturday, April 16th, at 8:00 PM in Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

St. John Vianney School is blessed to have Mr. Ziegler as our general music instructor. He shares his talent, experience, enthusiasm and love of music with all of our students. Mr. Ziegler has been teaching music at our school for the past six years. During that time he has directed the Shamrock Choir and the annual Christmas Concert, and assisted with Vianney Varieties and the school musical productions. Mr. Ziegler was instrumental in bringing guitar lessons to our middle school and last year he facilitated the first annual “Grills and Guitars” event. We believe that Mr. Ziegler is deserving of this recognition and we are proud that he a member of the St. John Vianney teaching staff. Congratulations, Mr. Ziegler!
