Located in the heart of Elm Grove, St. Mary’s Visitation School provides exceptional academics and faith formation for grades K3 through 8.
Greetings from the new SMV Ponderings blog. Here you will find information and commentary about St. Mary’s Visitation School in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. The children have been in school for several weeks now and there are some fresh faces around our school. Most importantly, we have a new principal, Mrs. Mary Tretow. Mrs. Tretow started with SMV on July 1, 2011. According to Mrs. Tretow, “These first weeks of school have been great. St. Mary’s has wonderful parents and an awesome staff. It’s been a gift to be able to be a part of that.”
Our school is experiencing a refreshing new culture permeating our hallways: Encourage one another and build each other up, Thessalonians 5:11. We have adopted this bible verse as this year’s school motto. Soon t-shirts will be handed out to each student bearing this wise saying.
Our students are enjoying a brand new reading program, including all new textbooks this school year.
Stay tuned….in coming blog entries you will have a chance to hear about three SMV teachers who are going on a great adventure this coming February that is going to be out of this world.
