Practically Speaking

Kyle and her husband moved to Brookfield in 1986. She became active in local politics and started blogging in 2004. Her focus is primarily on local issues but often includes state and national topics, too. Kyle looks at things from the taxpayers' perspective in a creative, yet down to earth way, addressing them from a practical point of view.

If you could have anything you wanted for next year, what would it be? (Besides world peace, etc.)

Right now, warmer temperatures and less snow!

Judge ..... win

Rose Fernandez to win the race for Superintendent of education or whatever she i s running for

School choice for every school age child, not just for certain impoverished children through vouchers or certain wealthy ones via parent paid private schools. 

Tax cuts for businesses. These have always created a boom in employment and wages. (Just ask those in Ireland.)

An end to withholding taxes. Only when people have to take money out of their checking accounts will they really wake up to how much all these govt. services and programs cost us.

To lose 15 pounds that stubbornly cling to me.
