· City of Brookfield police did not release any reports this week.

1Police responded to a call of a suspected burglary at a condominium unit in the 300 block of Kristin Court East about 4 p.m. April 30. A resident arrived at the home and saw the front door partially open. She also heard noises in the upper level of her unit. Police did a tactical search of the unit and did not find anything out of place.


2Twenty-four packs of gum and four bottles of an energy drink were taken at 7 Eleven, 21350 W. Capitol Drive, before 10:53 a.m. April 28. Total value was $73.

3A catalytic converter was taken from a vehicle at Innovative Signs, 21795 Doral Road, before 7:55 a.m. April 30.


4A 24-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for attempting to fraudulently use a credit card to purchase items at PDQ, 21980 Watertown Road, at 6:45 p.m. April 29. The man had taken the credit card from a wallet at Waukesha County Technical College earlier in the day.

5A 20-year-old Waukesha woman was arrested for previous offenses involving bail jumping at Extended Stay Hotel, 325 N. Brookfield Road, at 4:01 a.m. May 4. Police were called to the hotel because the woman had blood around her face and body. She also had one swollen eye and several scratches. The woman, who was drunk, was uncooperative as police attempted their investigation. Her blood alcohol content was 0.24.

· Police made two arrests related to domestic incidents last week.

Village of Elm Grove


6An Oconomowoc man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1100 block of 124th Street about 10:45 p.m. May 2 after he ran a red light. He admitted to consuming intoxicants, but refused to participate in sobriety tests and was taken to jail.


7A customer accidentally threw away his wallet at Jilly's Car Wash, 15340 W. Bluemound Road, and an employee found it in the trash can about 6 p.m. April 29. Police were able to contact the owner of the wallet, who picked it up May 5.

8Someone called police about a bat about 1:30 p.m. May 3. The bat reportedly "flew up in the air" and then was sitting on the railroad tracks north of the 13400 block of Watertown Plank Road. The caller was concerned the bat could have rabies. Officers were unable to find the bat.

· Police made one arrest for domestic violence.
