Brookfield and Elm Grove Police Report: June 26

June 25, 2014



1A wallet was stolen from a car parked in the 3300 block of N. 124th St. at around 9:45 a.m. on June 17. The complainant states that her credit card was later used in Milwaukee and Wauwatosa.

2A man was arrested for theft at 2:52 p.m. on June 17 at Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road. The shoplifter attempted to flee but was taken into custody and charged.

3$500 was reported stolen from a dresser drawer in a home in the 21500 block of Ann Rita Drive at 3:14 p.m. on June 17.

4An electric guitar valued at $1,499 was stolen sometime between 8 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. on June 17 from the Guitar Center, 17135 W. Bluemound Road.

5A laptop, tablet, USB hard drive, and various chargers were stolen from a car parked at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, sometime between 6:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on June 18. The passenger window was shattered.

6Two males were arrested for retail theft at 1:15 p.m. on June 19 at Pick 'n Save, 15170 W. Greenfield Ave.

7A wallet containing $120 in cash and credit cards was stolen sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on June 19 from an unlocked vehicle parked at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, 18255 W. Capitol Drive. Multiple fraudulent uses of the credit cards were reported.

8Three men were arrested for municipal retail theft after being found to be in possession of stolen items from Walgreens, 15650 W. Greenfield Ave. at 8:44 p.m. on June 19. Police were originally called in for a disorderly conduct complaint as at least one of the subjects had been observed urinating in public outside the store.

9Nine cans of baby formula valued at $207.41 were stolen from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive at 6:32 p.m. on June 19. The subject has not been located.

10Four catalytic converters were stolen from two trucks parked at Thomas Auto Works, 4375 N. 124th St., sometime between June 13 and June 20. The converters are valued at a total of $3,400.


11A family in the 1300 block of Lois Ave. has been receiving fraudulent phone calls from someone in Texas as reported at 7:16 p.m. on June 16. The complainant states that the caller is telling them that they must pay a fine or be arrested for fraud. The complainant states that they were not involved in any fraudulent activity and did not know what it was about. The complainant wanted the department made aware of the phone scam.

Drug offenses

12Two male subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 13300 block of Watertown Plank Road at 8:36 p.m. on June 17. One subject also was cited for possession of alcohol and possession of a fake identification card.

Impaired driving

13A woman was cited for her second OWI offense at W. Bluemound Road and Sunnyslope Road.
