City of Brookfield


1A cellphone valued at $200 was taken from Sears Portrait Studio, 115 S. Moorland Road, at 5:18 p.m. Aug. 10.

2A mailbox was taken from its post in the 3200 block of Amber Court prior to 6 a.m. Aug. 14.

3A customer's cellphone was taken from a counter at the Best Buy Mobile store in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 12:39 p.m. Aug. 15.

4A 6-by-10-foot enclosed trailer was taken from Tartan Supply, 3250 N. 126th St., between 7 p.m. Aug. 15 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 16. The trailer contained tools and equipment used to paint parking lots.

5A videogame system and laptop were taken from an apartment in the 1300 block of Dover Place prior to 8:09 p.m. Aug. 15.

6A customer's wallet was taken from her purse at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 1:06 p.m. Aug. 16. The purse contained $20, identification and credit cards.

7A purse was taken from a vehicle outside Metro Market, 17630 W. Bluemound Road, prior to 7:36 p.m. Aug. 16.

8Refrigeration equipment valued at $8,800 was taken from Domino's Pizza, 17305 W. Capitol Drive, prior to 10:42 a.m. Aug. 17.


9A 47-year-old New Berlin man was arrested for striking a customer in the head at Walgreens, 15650 W. Greenfield Ave., at 10:23 a.m. Aug. 16. The man fled before police arrived. Store surveillance footage was reviewed, and the man was contacted by authorities. He agreed to turn himself in.


10A 50-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving near Bluemound Road and Thomas Lane at 12:53 a.m. Aug. 18. The man refused to take a test to determine his blood-alcohol content. A blood draw was later taken.

11A 22-year-old Brookfield woman was arrested for drunken driving near Burleigh Road and 129th Street at 2:57 a.m. Aug. 19. Her BAC was 0.19.


12There were seven reports of tires being tampered with on vehicles in the 17900 block of Maple Tree Lane, 17800 block of Bermuda Boulevard, 2900 block of Nassau Drive and 3200 block of Amber Court prior to 7 a.m. Aug. 14. In each instance, valve stems were tampered with on tires, causing them to deflate.

13Someone drove a vehicle through a yard in the 16100 block of Tarrytown Road prior to 3:23 p.m. Aug. 15. Minor damage was reported.

14Graffiti was written on a slide at Hillside Elementary School, 2250 Lynette Lane, prior to 8:19 p.m. Aug. 18.

15The letter "J" was written with spray paint on a driveway outside a home in the 3400 block of North 129th Street prior to 10:37 a.m. Aug. 19.


Police made one domestic violence arrest last week.

Town of Brookfield


16Building materials valued at $2,037 were taken from a construction site in the 600 block of Woelfel Road between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3 and 7 a.m. Aug. 6. Items taken included numerous types of roofing materials.

17More than $200 was taken from a cash register at Brookfield Family Restaurant, 18000 W. Bluemound Road, in the overnight hours of Aug. 10. The restaurant owner told police he did not believe employees were responsible for the offense.

Village of Elm Grove


18Police are investigating an incident of a patron not paying a portion of his bill at Bakers Square, 15300 W. Bluemound Road, at 9:07 p.m. Aug. 19. The man told employees he did not have enough money to pay the full tab and promised to return. As of press deadline, he had not done so.


19A stop sign, beverage containers and a barricade were thrown into the pool at Village Park, 13600 Juneau Blvd., prior to 7:39 a.m. Aug. 15.


20A 19-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for underage drinking in the 15200 block of West Bluemound Road at 4:31 a.m. Aug. 15. The man also was arrested for prowling in the area.
