City of Brookfield


1A laptop was taken between May 26 and June 28 from Synercomm, 3265 Gateway Road. The theft was reported June 28.

2Windows were smashed on seven vehicles at the Best Western, 1005 S. Moorland Road, about 12:23 a.m. June 29. GPS units were taken from six of the vehicles.

3A car window was smashed and a wedding ring and packed luggage were taken from the Courtyard Hotel, 16865 W. Bluemound Road, overnight June 28.

4A 27-year-old female employee was arrested for retail theft after processing $3,000 in fraudulent returns at Bed, Bath and Beyond, 605 Main St. The arrest was made June 29.

5A 39-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, just after 10 p.m. June 29.

6A 22-year-old woman was stopped for retail theft at Sear's, 115 S. Moorland Road, just before 4 p.m. June 30. Given the value of the item, Sear's declined to prosecute, but the woman apparently repeatedly lied about her identity. Eventually, she admitted her real name and was arrested for obstructing an investigation.

7A 22-year-old woman was arrested for theft after taking a Victoria's Secret bag with merchandise that was unintentionally left in a fitting room at a store at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, about 4:15 p.m. June 30.

8Two 34-year-old women were arrested at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, just after 5 p.m. June 30. One was arrested for retail theft and the other for drug possession.


9A 27-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving at Interstate-94 and Moorland Road just before 2 a.m. June 30. The man refused to take a breath test and was held on bail since he had a Nevada license and had only been in Wisconsin for three weeks.

Elm Grove


10Two bikes, each valued at $50, were reported stolen from the 12000 block of Centra Lane about noon June 29. The theft reportedly happened overnight June 27.


11Four teenagers, two 17-year-old boys and two 16-year-old girls were arrested after a traffic stop at Watertown Plank Road and Meadow Lane at 2:43 a.m. June 30. The 17-year-old boy who was driving was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and tobacco. The three passengers were charged with possession of alcohol/tobacco by an underage person.
