Milwaukee's progress towards a cure for cancer

Jan. 14, 2011

Over 40 local businesses are coming together in a grassroots manner to raise awareness for some exciting cancer research taking place at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.

Available in only a few places in the world, the Young TIL clinical trial and immunotherapy research is saving lives and poised to revolutionize the treatment of cancer. Milwaukee holds a unique leadership position in this technology, translating into huge economic development benefits for Milwaukee as a region with the research's forward progress.

“We’re excited to be working with Gravity Marketing, over twenty volunteers and countless partnering organizations to potentially save the lives of melanoma patients that might have no other options” said John P. Hanson, M.D., medical director of immunotherapy, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center.
